Organize life better with scrum sprint board

People often stress themselves out with a feeling of not being productive. The problem is we are all trained to take action only based on a well-made plan, yet not many people find it redundant.

Organizing life is quite similar to software life management. Agile scrum, the framework for developing software, is the most effective approach to increasing productivity in many fields.

I use scrum in every possible moment and support my clients with a scrum to shift their life. Now I would like to talk about the scrum sprint board. It is a powerful way to organize your life reasonably.

Instead of having an extensive plan that you think is well made, try this one! Scrum sprint board! Break down all the big chunks of activities into small achievable goals.

In the middle of the sprint, a review session will be set up to check whether all the tasks are on track; it allows a time buffer for risk management. by doing so, we can guarantee the quality and quantity of what we aim for.

The whole process of managing the scrum sprint board is like playing a mind-cleansing game. We deal with our invisible and messy mind data. We put them on the visual board with assessed credits; a lot of unnecessary and immature inner chat will be avoided when we consciously see what is going on.

Here are five things from my life experiences that keep you motivated and consciously alive in your scrum sprint journey.

No 1 : overload yourself with too many tasks each day. Three to five is good. But do them consciously.

Stick to what has already been agreed upon according to priority, urgency, and dependency.

No 2 : four columns on your sprint visual board, Sprint Backlog plus To Do, Doing, and Done. Sometimes I also have an extra column where I keep my overall project backlog; the reason for doing this is that I can refer to the general project activities when something needs to be adjusted. This helps us avoid duplication and some other unnecessary impacts on other tasks.

No 3 : consciously observe your performance, your motivation, and your emotion. Those are invisible killers or promoters of your project. Only when these all are in good shape can all the big or small tasks and goals be moving forward. The Velocity of your project is primarily impacted by these invisible elements, especially if the project is about Be your boss.

No 4: Be open to any changing situations, be ready to accept the changes happily, adapt to the new adjustment, and focus on doing. In software lifecycle management, a Procedure called Change Request will be applied if any changes are required. If it is your life management project, maybe you don’t need a formal procedure like this, but it is always helpful if you could pin it down. The main point is that if things need to be changed, then do it; there is no need to create any inner exhausting by overthinking or complaining.

No 5: Monitor the velocity of your sprint tasks. If it is too low, don't get frustrated; Keep calm, do an inspection, and make slight changes. Try your best to keep it moving. Don't try to figure it out on your own. Especially when you are working on your own Be your boss project, you need to reach out to the community. Or other people who have successfully made it.
